This week our friends worked on identifying numbers and matching sets of numbers. The children played many different interactive games, such as, number line jumping, where the children had to identify a number and then jump to it. The children also played a bean bag toss game, where they had to identify a number on a bean bag, then find the corresponding number. This week our friends have been discussing different ways we can play with our classmates. We discussed the different ways that they can share and play. In our classroom we took picture of our friends "in action". There is a picture of friends playing with different materials in the same space, a picture of friends trading materials, and a picture of friends playing with the same material. The children have been doing a great job referencing those images during work time.
This past week I have been noticing that many of the children have been interested in building and creating towers with many different materials. So this coming week the children are going to be learning about building and construction. Through out the week the children will be able to building with different materials, as well as, learn about the different tools builders use.
