Week of September 14-18

This past week the children learned about zoo animals. At large group time they learned new yoga poses, went on a bear hunt, and played a game of animal charades. At small group time the children practiced their counting skills by creating their own animal cages with Popsicle sticks and play-dough. They also practiced their sorting and matching skills when playing an animal matching game. Next week will continue our study of zoo animals with some more fun matching games. The children are also going to begin practicing how to write/trace their names as well as some pre-writing strokes.

Yankee Candle Fundraiser:
Candle Packets are due on Monday September 28th. Candles will be delivered November 10th from 4-8pm and November 11th from 1:30-4 pm and 6-8pm at the BCSC Maintenance Facility located at 550 Airport Road (next to the bus barn).  There will be Drive Thru Pick Up!  If you order online you candles will be shipped directly to your home.

Snakehead Ed:
 Unfortunately Snakehead Ed had to cancel their visit this week. They will be rescheduling for another time during the school year.

Conferences:
With the end of the first quarter approaching so are parent teacher conferences. Conference signs are online through Signup Genius. Conferences are on Wednesday October 7th & Thursday October 8th during the morning and after school. Conferences slots will be 15 minutes. Conferences times are first come, first serve.
