I hope you all had a great weekend! This week the children will be working on their book skills. At small group they each got a "Big Book" to look through and identify different components; like pictures, words, and letter. They had a great time being able to read a giant book! We are continuing to work on letter identification and formation. The other small group made letters using play-dough and letter cards. We talked about the the number of snakes that the children needed to roll in order to create a letter. Knowing the number of snakes to make helped the children to create a plan. We area also continuing to learn about sorting, this week we are focusing on sorting objects into different categories, such as food, animals, clothes, etc.
