Happy Monday! The children had a great day back. The weather was perfect and hopefully it continues to stay nice for the rest of the week! This week the children will be working on some pre-writing strokes and fine motor coordination. Today at small group the children used shaving cream and wrote the different pre-writing strokes along with their names and different shapes. They had a great time getting messy! The children also copied pre-writing strokes with buttons, which helped them not only identify the pre-writing strokes, but worked on their fine motor coordination. This week we will also be learning about the differences between numbers and letters and will do a sorting activity.
At large group the children played a dice action game, where one child rolled the dice and another selected a movement card. Then we did that movement together based on the number we rolled from the dice. The children did a great job stopping their actions once we reached the number. They have been working on counting with 1:1 correspondence and this was a great way to practice that skill and a way to keep them moving and focused!

- Field Trip
- We will be having an IN SCHOOL field trip on August 26th at 10:30am and 1:30pm
- While he is coming on a Friday, we’d like to invite our T/Th friends to join us as well. Parents must stay with their children and can enter through door 7
