Week of January 1st-4th

Hi Families,

Happy Superbowl Sunday! The children had another wonderful week! They have begun constantly writing and creating books, so please watch out for any completed stories in their folders and backpacks. We have been encouraging students to create books based on their developmental readiness. Some children are working on putting pictures on every page, while other are beginning to write letters. Writing for children at these age can be scribbles, letter strings, or known letters that they hear in the word they are trying to write. Over all the goal of book making is for the children to take ownership of their books and see that they can create a book and be an author. This coming week we will be doing some Valentines Day activities. On Thursday and Friday will be spring parties. We still need volunteers for Friday afternoon, so if you are free/interested please sign up! Here is the sign up link.
