Hi Families,
The children had a great week since being gone for winter break! They came back to school with lots of energy! This past week the children worked on some basic skills to help them transition into school mode. This coming week we will be doing some fun winter activities. The children will be reading the book The Snowy Day, by Ezra Keats and creating their own winter scene later on in the week. At large group we will be going on a bear walk to find letters and fish around the classroom. The sensory table will also be filled with some fun snowy dough! This week the children will be working on a project called, "My Hands", where they will draw and paint a picture of what kind things their hands can do. We will be displaying some of the children's work at the art show later on in the year.
Winter Wear:
Please make sure you are sending your child to school in the proper winter attire, we will be going outside unless it is below 25 degrees or raining. This include boots/warm shoes, winter coats, and hats and gloves. We would rather take off layers if they are hot than not have enough layers on.
Report Cards:
Progress reports were sent home on Thursday/Friday as well as Progress Monitoring Reports. Please check your child's backpack/folder.
Butter Braids:
Butter Braids order forms have been sent home they are Friday, January 15th. When the orders come in you must come to the BECC to pick up your order.
Have a restful Sunday! Please email me with any questions :)
-Ms. Rodriguez
