Week of April 11th-15th

Hi Families,

The children had a wonderful first week back from Spring Break. They came back refreshed and ready to finish up the last few weeks of school. It's hard to believe that there are only 7 more week left!

This past week the children have traveled back in time to the time of the dinosaurs. They have been working with dinosaur bones and fossils, learning about different types of dinosaurs, and creating pictures and books about dinosaurs. This week their interest in dinosaurs has only grown. This week we will be comparing our footprints to the size of a dinosaur's footprint.

This week is also the Week of the Young Child! We will be celebrating by doing some fun and interactive activities through out the week. Today we started off the week with random dance parties through out the day! Tomorrow we will be having Taco Tuesday, where the children will be playing a fun taco making game during small group. We will also be starting the day off with some relaxing and energizing yoga!

Here is the schedule of Week of the Young Child:
Wednesday-Decorating a school rainbow& guest reader
Thursday- Decorating garden rocks
Friday- Decorating and looking at the school family tree

Reminders/Announcements:

Week of the Young Child:
One activity the children will be doing is decorating a school wide family tree. Today or tomorrow you will receive a colorful circle with a note about the Week of the Young Child and activity to do with your child at home. Attached to the flyer is a colorful circle where your child and you will glue a family picture and decorate the circle like a frame. Please return that picture and frame to school so that your child can add it to our school family tree.
