This week during our Large Group I read “I Know A Wee
Piggy,” by Kim Norman. The pig was
at the county fair and decided that he needed some color. So he wallowed in all sorts of things. At the end he ended up winning a blue ribbon
at the art show exhibit. We talked about
setting of the book, vocabulary (wallowed, wee) and the characters in it. We also talked about what you would see,
hear, & smell at a fair. The
students then had a turn after answering a question to add color to the
pig. Talk to your child about things
they remember about the story and what turned the pig the different
colors.
Have a great week!
Miss Lorraine (SLPA)
