I apologize for updating the blog a day late. We have a busy last week of the quarter. Thanks to all the families who came to snacks with students, the children really loved having you visit.
Recently the children have been really interested in dinosaurs. A few weeks ago one of our speech language pathologists showed the children a song by We are Giants, called, I am a Paleontologist, and ever since then the children's interest in dinosaurs has grown. We will be doing some dinosaur themed activities this week and when we come back from Spring Break.

Will be sent on Thursday and Friday. If you need more than one copy, please let me know so that I can put multiple copies in your child's backpack.

Week of March 7th-11th
Hi Families,
This week the children will be doing some more work on counting (identifying numbers and counting with 1:1 correspondence). Today the children had to match a flower petal number to stems with different amounts of dots. The children at each small group made their own flower number garden. We will be doing another writing focused read aloud where the children will be encouraged to add numbers into their books. Ice skating and picture day are this week, so please send your children to school in messier clothes and turn in your picture forms, you will NOT receive any pictures with out it!
Reminders:
School Pictures:
Picture forms are being sent home today, Spring Pictures are March 10th and 11th. You do not need to re-take pictures, but you are more than welcome to take them again even if you did at the beginning of the year. Please return the forms back to school as soon as possible. If you do not return the form, your child's picture will NOT be taken.
Snacks with Students:
Snacks with students will be on March 14th and 15th at 11:00am and 3:00pm. Forms are past due, if you have not turned in your form you will NOT be able to attend.
Book Fair:
The book fair is back! Monday March 14th-Wednesday 16th, you can go to the book fair during drop off/pick up, as well as, after snacks with students.
Ice Skating:
On March 7th and 8th the therapists will be setting up an "ice skating" rink in the teacher break room, were the children will be able to "skate" around the room, which is made up of shaving cream and plastic wrap around the floor. Please send your child to school in messier clothes if they want to participate in the "ice skating".
Spring Fling:
Keep sending in "Cat" items for our spring fling basket!
